The Wireless App Market Creates Opportunities As long As People Can Connect To Them.

There was an article this week that talked the wireless app market and how many people don’t know that many of the apps created are from small companies, not large corporations. The fact that the barriers to entry are now so long creates opportunities for people and areas of the country that otherwise would have never had the chance. Making this fact more widely known could change many people perceptions of who benefits the most wireless connectivity. I believe there has been a misconception perpetuated by groups that want people to go against large companies. People believe that wireless growth and company consolidation will lead to them having less options but the facts prove the contrary. As wireless access and speed have grown so have the opportunities.  The article speaks to the growth and diversity of these opportunities directly.

“Separately, the app market has become a $20 billion industry spawning job creation across the United States. While California continues to have the largest proportion of app developers, nearly 70% of the top app makers are located outside the traditional tech powerhouses. A programmer for the new top app is as likely to come from Moorhead, Minnesota as from Silicon Valley.”

So it’s important for people not to be misled by emotional headlines and know that facts show that with wireless growth comes wireless opportunity. Ensuring that we continue to get access to the most innovative network possible is key to that.
